Bordering Indian Wells on highway SR535 is the WalMart 24/7 supermarket, with numerous local shops alongside.  These include a liquor store, mobile phone shop, laptop and electronics boutique, gift shops, barbers, nail shop, an Internet cafe and a walk-in medical center. Another Internet cafe is located in the Lake Buena Vista stores (next to VF Outlet) and a postal office is alongside the Chevron service station on SR535 (next to WalMart).  Around 1 mile further south on SR535 with the junction of highway US192 (Poinciana Place), is the local Publix supermarket, with a Super Target and another WalMart further down US192.  

In addition to a WalMart service station alongside Indian Wells, you will also find an Hess Express which sells pizzas, donuts, liquor, general groceries and has an ATM machine inside.  ATM machines can also be found at the WalMart and Publix supermarkets, along with many of the shopping malls, outlets and banks.  

When using the ATMs, use your normal PIN. For (non-US) visitors when presented with 'Which Account?' to withdraw funds from - the 'Checking Account' is your current account.  It may also be worthwhile confirming with your bank what the daily withdrawal limit is (US$400 per day tends to be the norm).

Although the supermarkets cater for the British market with their ever increasing range of produce, should you need more specialist food (for a dietary requirement), listed below are couple which are in Kissimmee.  We would always recommend checking with the supplier beforehand for specific requirements.

Looking for cut-price designer goods, jewellery or the latest Nike gear?  Visit the Lake Buena Vista Factory Stores,  which are opposite the SR535 entrance to Indian Wells.  Here you will find the local Internet Cafe next to the 'VF Outlet' (offering bargain priced clothing).  Other favourites include Nike, Loft, Gap, Van Heusen, Reebok, Izod, Vitamin World, Old Navy, Wilson Leather, Fossil, DKNY, Reebok, Famous Brand Shoes, Rack Room Shoes and more.

We hope that you will never need to visit any kind of medical center during your stay in our villas.  For peace of mind, there are dispensing pharmacies, walk-in medical centers, a dentist and even a hospital located not too far away.

You will find a walk-in medical center within the Indian Wells local shops and a pharmacy within WalMart.  In addition, a CVS Pharmacy is located at the junction of US192/Polynesian Isle Boulevard and at the corner of SR535/SR536 (World Center Drive).  This is also where you will find the no-appointment-necessary Buena Vista Walk-In Medical Center, which is open 7 days a week, 8am-7pm (Mon-Fri) and 8am-3pm (weekends and holidays) - with an emergency 24 hour telephone number 407-465-1110.  The nearest dentist is at the junction of SR535/US192 - near to Smokey Bones and the Publix supermarket.

The nearest hospital is located in Celebration and is around a 15 minute drive.  Click for medical, dentist and pharmaceutical services in the area. 

It is essential for any trip to the US that you have good travel insurance with adequate medical cover, as the country is predominately private healthcare.  Medical care with a stay in hospital would be very expensive and the European form E111 does not apply in the US.
