villa: Lakeside has the biggest private pool in Indian Wells, only bettered by the community pool - and wow, what a pool!  The huge 40ft long pool ranges in depth from 4ft to 6ft, has steps with a hand-rail and shelf-seat to sit on and cool down.  The pool and multi-layered deck is fully screened to keep out bugs.  For privacy, the garden is fenced between neighbouring properties and the deck provides adequate space to soak up the sun in a tranquil setting with great views over the Indian Wells lake.  For guests or small children who require protection from the sun, there is a covered lanai with table and padded chairs.  

Unlike many villa communities, Indian Wells has a large gated community pool for use by guests and residents only.  Changing rooms are alongside and the keys for the pool and tennis courts can be obtained from our Management Company.

As a single storey house with a huge deck and pool, there is adequate sun from early morning through to early evening.  With the evening sun lighting up the spa and top layers of the deck, this makes a great place to relax with drinks.  For relaxation out of the water, you will find ample padded sun beds, padded chairs and table for dining al-fresco.  Make the most of the warm Floridian evenings by illuminating the pool.

The separate 17ft long spa (3ft deep with raised shelf-seat and hand-rail) features an overflow waterfall into the pool and separate 'bubble' controls.  This is also iideal for small children and infants who want to splash or learn to swim.  The sun rises over the lake and sets with  the spa receiving the last of the daytime sun.

To avoid damage to the protective coating on the pool deck, barbecues with charcoal bricks must only be used outside of the screened area.

During the cooler months of October to April, electric pool heating can be taken at a pre-paid additional charge of £115/US$180 per week.  Pool heating is not required for the summer months.  Should you decide to take pool heating only after arriving at the villa, payment can be made direct to our Management Company at their current US$ rate.   Pool heating must be taken for a minimum of 5 consecutive days.  

When activated, heating is operational for at least 8 hours a day from morning to early evening and should heat the water to a temperature in the range 82ºF to 86ºF .  Although the temperature of the water will remain relatively constant within the range quoted, it may feel warmer or cooler on consecutive days due to atmospheric conditions and the ambient air temperature.  On occasions where the air temperature is very low, this could result in cooler water temperatures.  If you prefer to swim into the evening, please contact us to request that the operational times be moved to later in the day.
